The concept of the Internet of Things

The Internet of Things or the Internet of Everything is going beyond Machine to Machine communications to facilitate communications between processes, machines, humans, devices and so on. As an instance, the Internet of Everything will enable your house to communicate with you and inform you about your energy usage. Your house will tell you if it is too warm to use the heater or if it is too cold to use the AC. Your house will let you know if there is an appliance that is consuming power but is not being used at that time. Your house will be able to communicate with you to let you know if someone is going to an area that you have restricted at the given time. There are vasts opportunities that abound in this Internet of Things era; we should know more about them so we can take advantage of them.
